## Lake Okeechobee Water Level Update And Fishing Report For October 31, 2024
Welcome back to the Okeechobee Fishing Report, your one-stop shop for all things fishing on the Big O! I’m your host, Captain Joe, and I’m here to give you the lowdown on the lake’s water level and how it’s going to affect your fishing trip.
**Lake Level:** 16.10 feet NGVD
**Change in level since yesterday:** 0.02 feet lower
**Difference from last year:** 0.11 feet lower
**Difference from two years ago:** 0.27 feet higher
**Weather Forecast:** Expect partly cloudy skies with a high near 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be out of the east at 7 to 12 mph.
**Fishing Forecast:**
With the lake level slightly lower than last year and the water temperature starting to cool down, the bass fishing should be excellent. Look for bass to be schooled up in the Kissimmee grass and along the edges of the hydrilla. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and swim jigs will all be productive lures. The crappie fishing should also be good, with fish congregating around deeper brush piles and submerged trees. Use small jigs or minnows for the best results.
