**Lake O is sitting at 16.10 feet above sea level today.**  That's a tad higher than this time last year (16.21 feet) and quite a bit higher than two years ago when she was at a paltry 15.83 feet.  We're in great shape for some fantastic fishing!
**Now, let's talk weather, because that plays a big role in how the fish are biting.**  We've got a mixed bag coming up over the next week.  Expect some light rain and breezy conditions – perfect for those big bass to go on the hunt.  Make sure you pack your rain gear and hold onto your hats!
**With the water level where it's at and the weather we're expecting, here's the scoop on what to target:**
* **Bass:**  The bass fishing should be off the charts!  Look for them in the shallows, especially around vegetation where they'll be ambushing baitfish.

* **Crappie:**  The specks should be hanging out near brush piles and other structures.  Drop a minnow or jig down there and get ready for some action.

* **Bluegill:**  These feisty fighters are always a blast.  Look for them in the shallows, especially around beds if they're spawning.
