## Lake Okeechobee Water Level Update And Fishing Report For October 31, 2024

### Current Lake Okeechobee Water Level

As of October 30, 2024, Lake Okeechobee’s water level is at 16.10 feet. That’s a little higher than this time last year (16.21 feet) and quite a bit higher than two years ago (15.83 feet).

### Lake Okeechobee Water Level Forecast

We’re expecting some light rain over the next week, with heavier rain possible next Tuesday. This could cause the lake level to rise, but it’s too early to say for sure. We’ll keep an eye on it!

### Fishing Report For This Week

#### Bass Fishing

The bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is still pretty good, even with the higher water levels. The bass are biting on swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and topwater plugs early in the morning. As the day goes on, switch to flipping and pitching creature baits or worms around the thick vegetation.

#### Crappie Fishing

The crappie fishing has been a bit slow lately, but that’s to be expected this time of year. The crappie are starting to move into deeper water, so you’ll need to use your electronics to find them. Once you find them, try using small jigs or minnows.

#### Specks (Black Crappie) Fishing

The specks are still biting pretty well in the Kissimmee River. Look for them around the docks and bridge pilings. The best baits to use are small jigs, minnows, or Beetle Spins.

That’s it for this week’s Lake Okeechobee fishing report. Good luck out there and tight lines!
