Lake Okeechobee Water Level Update - November 4, 2024

Ahoy there, anglers! Captain Joe here, back with your weekly Lake Okeechobee fishing report.  Let's dive into the numbers and see what's what on the Big O!

Lake O's Water Level: Steady as She Goes

As of this mornin', November 4th, 2024, Lake Okeechobee's water level is sittin' pretty at 16.10 feet above sea level. Now, that's right on par with where we were this time last year.  Two years back, she was a tad shallower at 15.90 feet. So, we're lookin' at a slightly higher lake compared to 2022, but nothin' too drastic.

What This Means for Your Fishing Trip

Now, you might be wonderin', "Captain Joe, what's all this water level mumbo jumbo mean for my fishin' trip?" Well, lemme break it down for ya:

* **Bass Fishin':**  With the lake level holdin' steady, the bass are gonna be hangin' out in their usual haunts - around the edges of the grass lines and near any submerged structure they can find. 
* **Crappie (Speck) Action:**  Crappie love 'em some structure too. Look for 'em near brush piles, submerged trees, and bridge pilings. 
* **Catfishin' Fun:**  Ol' Mr. Whiskers ain't too picky about the water level. You can find 'em in the deeper holes and channels.
