Lake Okeechobee Water Level Update - November 25, 2024: Get Ready for Some Action!

Ahoy there, anglers and fishaholics! Captain Joe here, back with your weekly dose of Lake Okeechobee intel. Now, let's dive right into the nitty-gritty – the water level. As of today, November 25, 2024, she's sittin' pretty at 15.90 feet above sea level. 

Now, for you landlubbers who ain't familiar with these parts, that's a tad higher than last year on the same date when she was at 16.04 feet. And if we're talkin' two years back, well, she was a whole lot higher at 16.40 feet.  

What This Means for Your Fishing Trip

Now, you might be thinkin', "Captain Joe, why all this fuss about water levels?" Well, lemme tell ya, it's got everything to do with where those finicky fish are hangin' out! 

See, when the lake's on the higher side, those bass and crappie, they like to mosey on over to the edges, hidin' amongst the vegetation. That means you gotta adjust your strategy, use those weedless lures, and get ready to wrestle with some hawgs!

Lake Okeechobee Weather Forecast: Sunshine and a Side of Wind
