## Lake Okeechobee Fishing Report for October 31, 2024
Happy Halloween, anglers! Lake Okeechobee is sitting at 16.10 feet above sea level today, which is slightly lower than this time last year (16.21 feet) but still a good bit higher than two years ago (15.83 feet). The lake is also a foot above its historical average for this date.
The weather forecast for today is calling for few clouds with a high near 80 degrees. Winds will be light and variable. These conditions should make for a pleasant day on the water.
With the lake level high and the weather cooperating, fishing should be good today. The bass bite has been strong lately, and the speckled perch (crappie) are starting to school up.
