Lake Okeechobee Fishing Report – 02.13.2025

Lake Okeechobee Fishing Report for February 13, 2025 – OkeechobeeFishingReport.com

Howdy folks, Captain Joe here with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report for February 13, 2025.

Lake Okeechobee is currently sitting at 14.07 feet NGVD, a good bit lower than this time last year (16.37 feet) and two years ago (15.93 feet). This lower water level has concentrated the fish in certain areas, so knowing where to go is key.

We’re expecting some moderate rain today, about 5.92 inches, and with temperatures in the low 70s (23 Celsius), it’s shaping up to be a decent day on the lake. The rain might muddy up the water a bit, so keep that in mind when choosing your lures.

This type of weather can make for some excellent bass fishing. Look for them in the grassy areas and near any moving water. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and swim jigs should all be productive choices.

Crappie fishing should also be good with the cooler temperatures. Look for them near brush piles and other structures. Small jigs and minnows are always a good bet.

Well, that’s the latest from Lake Okeechobee. Remember, these are just general guidelines, and conditions can change quickly on the water. Always be prepared and adjust your approach accordingly.

Tight lines, and I’ll see you on the water!
