Okeechobee Weather Forecast

How Today’s Conditions Impact Fishing on Lake Okeechobee

With the lake level down and some rain on the way, the bass fishing could get interesting. Look for bass to be schooled up in the Kissimmee grass and around any moving water you can find. The lower light conditions from the rain could make for a good topwater bite early, so keep those frogs and buzzbaits handy.

The crappie fishing should be decent as well. Look for them congregated around deeper brush piles and submerged vegetation. Minnows and jigs will be your best bet for enticing a bite.

That’s the latest from Lake Okeechobee. Remember, conditions can change quickly out here, so always be prepared and stay safe. Tight lines, everyone!
