Bass Fishing

With the lake level lower than usual, focus on areas with submerged vegetation and near any remaining Kissimmee grass. The light rain might encourage some topwater action early in the morning. Try using weedless frogs or swimbaits around the grass. As the day warms up, switch to flipping jigs or Texas-rigged worms in the thicker cover. Look for those transition areas where the bottom changes – bass love to hang out there.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie will likely be holding around deeper structure and submerged brush piles. Minnows and jigs are your best bet. With the wind, drifting can be effective, but be sure to control your speed. Early morning and late afternoon will be your prime times.

Catfish Fishing

Catfishin’ should be pretty good, especially after that little bit of rain. Use live or cut bait near the bottom in deeper channels and around any submerged structure. Stink baits can also be effective. Fish the flats at night for the best results.
